
In abundant seasons, it's really easy to show up in every way, caffeine in hand, and kill it! The WOO-HOOO feels like it's in the atmosphere around us. When challenging seasons come – and they always do – it's easy to pull back. Fear creeps into conversations. You'll know that's happening if you hear yourself say things that begin, "I'm afraid that…" If you're led by your emotions, you'll endure endless HIGH highs and LOW lows. On tough days, your emotions can pull you straight into "paralysis of analysis". You feel stuck. You say, "Nothing is working." or "My phone is not ringing…" The truth is 'nothing is working' because you are not working. Not really. If you're finding you're spending more time on Netflix or anywhere instead of at work, you may have fallen victim to it, BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO STAY THERE.
Now that you're aware, you can change everything. Start with controlling your conversations – the ones out loud with others and the ones you're having with yourself that creep into your confidence. Here's the truth: you can be pitiful or powerful, but you can't be both.
WHAT TO DO?
At the risk of redundancy, I have to shout: ONE MORE TIME! Terryl, David, Jeff and Frank have given you this same advice; it's pretty simple but it has to be implemented. Translation: YOU GOTTA DO IT! In my former music-business life, I was practically famous for shouting, ONE MORE TIME! as the music started to wind down – with that shout, the intro would come roaring back and you could feel the energy in the room rise! The kids would CHEER! My choreographer and lead dancers would give me the WE ARE GOING TO KILL YOU LATER look…and we'd all laugh and give it another go – sometimes with dozens of kids and often with at least a couple hundred. What a fun memory! Now, in my #realtorlife and #brokermama world, ONE MORE TIME is still my mantra. It's the power of one more…and it can change your life. I'm gonna one-more-time it for you here! #yourewelcome

Talk about the Alabama/TN game or plans for Thanksgiving, ask about their family or how listings are UP statistically, YOY! Be real and optimistic about the market. The truth is we're still listing and selling. Know average days on market at various price points. Be on your game! Decide to have fun with it and reconnect. It's easier after about the 3rd call. I PROMISE. Keep it going. It won't be awkward next time.
