I hope all of you read what the "The Lighter Side of Real Estate" posts on social media. It provides me with much-needed laughs sometimes. Every now and then, their satire is so good you'll think about it years later. Like I did a few days ago. Check this one out:
"Realtor looking for people to do their job at a discount
I am a Realtor and since people always expect me to cut my fee I assume they must also do their job, or provide their services, at a discount.
I am looking to hire all types of people to do all sorts of jobs for me, as long as I do not have to pay what you're actually...

The past few years were amazing, evidenced by record-breaking local numbers, company numbers and personal production numbers. We all worked hard "In our Business" with showings and listings; the busy work. You'd almost bump into an opportunity walking in your driveway to the car.
The last few 6 months kind of felt like whiplash. If you are reading this, listen to me, it will be OK. That amazing market was a big swing above normal, this down swing is below normal. Where we are now isn't normal either. But it will balance out and find level. It always does!
In 2024, opportunities for you will be driven by a huge demand for homes in our area and continued downward pressure on interest rates.
Trust that it will come around and be patient. AND… instead of relaxing, get to work "On Your Business"! Catch back up with yo...

Let's talk about something almost all of you guys are NOT good at, bragging about yourself.
Do you ever feel passed over for opportunities you deserve and are qualified for? Do you feel underestimated? Do you feel like your clients, friends, family, everyone underappreciates the work you do? That people don't seem to get all the little things, the dozens and dozens of things we do to push and pull our clients across the finish line and into a chair at the closing table? I think it's safe to say all of us can say yes to all or at least one of the above.
In many, if not most cases, this can be attributed to the fact those people don't know all the things we do because we are not telling them. It's usually that simple. Think about it, pause for a second and think about your last transaction or better yet your most complicated one: all the times you checke...

"There can be no change without action," is one of the truest statements ever said.
You must do something for your life to change. If you do not put action toward making a change, nothing happens. We could fast forward a year or two and your life would be the same.
Let's face it, we all only have 24 hours in a day. The only difference between some of us is our ability to focus in those 24 hours. For most modern humans, with more distractions than any other time in history, focusing can be the single hardest thing for us to do.
What is focus? It is the act of saying 'yes' to one thing while saying 'no' to everything else.
It is simply saying 'yes' to sitting down and working on your marketing (for example) for an allotted amount of time and saying 'no'...

Order takers do not get referrals. Order takers think transactionally (short term), not about creating relationships (long term).
"I don't want to lose this buyer. I can't afford to risk it by insisting they get pre-approved, signing a buyer agency, etc.… I'm just going to go show them these 5 houses."
We've all been there. You can do that and make a living, but they won't respect you. And if they don't respect you, they won't tell their loved ones to call you. If you want to spend your time showing houses, great. But if you want to make a profession out of this, you need to have a process.
The upfront work is hugely important! With Buyers, the upfront work is some version of a Buyer's Consultation. Keep in mind, if you have not signed a Buyer's Agency with them, they are still a prospect. They need you t...
