We work so hard staying in touch with our SOI - calling, keeping in touch with autoflow programs, real estate reviews, etc. Then one day the phone rings and one of your sphere is ready to sell their home - now what?  The fact that they called you means you have a much, much better shot of getting the listing, but you still need to be as professional as possible with your conversation and subsequent marketing presentation. This article is not a tutorial on preparing and presenting your presentation and more about what you can do once you've earned the listing.

You, as a Bellator agent, have a lot to offer to your clients, both buyers and sellers, but the marketing that we can offer our sellers is unparalleled in our area. Remember, when you're being excellent at marketing your client's property, a side effect is that you're being...

After showing his two sons two purses, one with $1million in cash and the other with a penny, the father told them, "I offer the same choice to you both. This million dollars; or this single penny. Whichever you choose, you must leave it in your purse under my butler's care for one full month to give you time to think about how you will use it . . . One more thing . . . if you choose the million, you may, if you wish, draw against it as credit with my bank in town. If you choose the penny, you can also draw against it (the million), but every day you choose to leave the penny's line of credit untouched, my butler has instructions to double the contents of your purse, for as long as it is under his care."

You probably know where this story is going. One boy used the million...

My Lexus is 3 years old, and I have loved this SUV more than any other vehicle I've ever driven. It became my primary focus to buy a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive that was a little higher off the ground than my previous car. The sedan I'd had previously was pretty, it was girly, it was easy to park; it was all the things. ALL of 'em. But one day I was on the island showing waterfront homes to out of state buyers and the sand was slightly damp from an early morning summer shower. My beautiful white (and sort of sparkly) car, with her beautiful leather seats and whatnot had the audacity to get stuck. I was mortified but, hey, I'm not trying to have a bad day so I let my clients know that it would be fine, and I would get help. The client-husband was having none of that; he wanted to save the day! So, there he was. A middle-aged gentleman from Arkansas, lying on his belly nex...

Are you excited today? I think we have reason to be excited. Now more than ever, people need "their Realtor" to be there for them. And now more than ever, most of our competitors are going to drop the ball!

I have never seen a better opportunity to win hearts and minds of people than today. It will never be this easy to stand out (amongst the negativity and confusion) and be seen as a trusted real estate resource by people in your sphere of influence. Don't forget, they know other Realtors, probably 5 or 6. This is your chance to become THE ONE they choose.

Here is what you should be focusing on right now:

1) Master the New

Obviously, we need to take extra time to make sure we understand and can explain all these changes and explai...

I continue to hear "fear" or "anxiety" from REALTORS® about the upcoming changes in our industry as it relates to the NAR lawsuit and changes in our profession.

As I have mentioned before, this is not the first change in our profession that has created fear or anxiety, and it will not be the last. I am not one to offer unsolicited advice, but I will share my mindset with you about change and I hope it will help you as we approach August 17, 2024.

Confidence in any situation is key, especially related to change.

Accept your fear and anxiety. If this is what you're feeling, just embrace it and know these feelings are valid and are part of the process. Embracing change is learning how you feel about the change. It's OK . . . just go ahead and embrace it. You have fear and anxiety . . . now you're done.
